Transportation to and from the John McGivney School Authority is facilitated via the Windsor-Essex Student Transportation Services. Resources and related information can be accessed via their website at buskids.ca.

During the school year, you should expect it to take 48-72 hours to process changes through their system.

Inclement Weather

On days of inclement weather, notice of school closure and/or cancellation of transportation will be posted on the home page of our website. You can also check the Buskids website.

If bussing is canceled, the school may still be open, and parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their child. If the school has to close, parents who have dropped off their child will be expected to return to the school within 30 minutes of the phone call to collect them. In the event that the John McGivney Children’s Centre is closed, resulting in our closure, it will also be posted on our website. When it is necessary to cancel school earlier than usual, you will be informed that your child is to be returned earlier than usual.
