Transportation

Transportation to and from the John McGivney School Authority is facilitated via the Windsor-Essex Student Transportation Services. Resources and related information can be accessed via their website at buskids.ca.

During the school year, you should expect it to take 48-72 hours to process changes through their system.

Inclement Weather

On days of inclement weather, notice of school closure and/or cancellation of transportation will be posted the Buskids website. If our co-terminus Boards (Greater Essex and Windsor Essex Catholic) are closed, so is the John McGivney School Authority. You can also access the Buskids website for information if buses are running late.

If buses are cancelled due to fog in the morning, they will normally run at the end of the day to bring children home. If you require clarification, you can call the school office at 519-977-2200.

If schools are open and only bussing is cancelled, parents are welcome to drop off their child in the morning and pick them up at the end of the school day.
